It all bega in Tun Tavern, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1775.

Captain Samual Nicholas set up the first recruiting headquarters for the Marine Corps at Tun Tavern.

249 years later, Marines, active duty, retired, and inactive, still celebrate the birth of our Beloved Marine Corps.

MCL Detachment 1063 will be no different. We will be having a celebration November 10th, 2024 beginning at 1pm. Need not ba a member of the League or our Detachment to celebrate the 249th Marine Corps Birthday with us.
